About

Therapy is about you…

Something’s not right in your life, and it’s affecting everything. No matter how hard you try, you can’t get past this obstacle.

You want to heal, trust, grow – get your life moving in the right direction.

But nothing’s working.

…And what you care about

In therapy, we focus on what matters to YOU:

Relationships… connection… healing… connection… self-esteem… connection… wholeness… connection… growth…

Oh, I almost forgot – did I mention connection?

Connection is your deepest human need!

From the relationships you formed with your family growing up to your marriage, friendships, or interactions with your kids, life is about being close and connected to the people who matter.

Whatever you’re focusing on in therapy, the root of your pain involves the quality of your connection to yourself and others.

Just being in the presence of someone you feel secure with calms the brain and reduces the amount of pain and suffering you experience.

That’s why you need a compassionate and skilled therapist you trust and feel connected to.

When we meet, I provide a warm and supportive environment where you can explore your hurts and challenges, and gain insight and tools to help you get through the deep work of therapy.

Meet Anne

When I left beautiful northern Michigan to pursue a Masters Degree in Counseling at Northeastern University in Chicago, I realized I had my own healing to focus on.

Working with a therapist, I went through a tremendous time of self-discovery, personal healing, and transformation. I’ve been where you are now and can personally attest to the benefits of therapy.

Immediately after grad school, much of my time was spent working with the family of origin trauma and sexual abuse survivors. This experience is where I began to understand the incredible power of connection in the process of healing.

In my practice, I have worked extensively with individuals, couples, trauma and abuse survivors, anxiety, and mood disorders. My specialties include Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, EMDR, Christian Therapy, Mindfulness, and Attachment.

On a personal note, I relocated with my family to Texas in 1999. My husband and I have three children, one adopted from China.

We love animals, and it could be argued that we have too many pets. Being outnumbered by dogs and cats certainly keeps life interesting!

I love what I do.

Being a therapist is one of the greatest privileges and blessings in my life.

I feel honored each time someone entrusts his or her story to me and invites me to walk alongside.

I celebrate your strength and courage as you embark on your healing journey.
